Eligibility Requirements:   Highly motivated students, at least sophomore status, 3.0 GPA, interest in education research, commitment to be involved in the project for at least 10 hours per week for a minimum of two quarters. Students must have strong English language skills. Requirements: strong organizational and communication skills; flexibility in your schedule; motivation to learn about the research process and critically engage with the material; attention to detail; ability to work independently; previous research experience and training in a social science field is a plus but not a requirement. Project Details:   This project is a longitudinal study that aims to improve our understanding of the value of undergraduate educational experiences and promote evidence-based models of undergraduate student success. The purpose of the study is to capture student experiences inside and outside the classroom and paint a complete portrait of the student experience at UCI. For more information, please visit: https://sites.uci.edu/ucimustproject/ Students will spend their time coding data, reading academic papers in the field, and other research tasks. Students will have the opportunity to receive 4 units per quarter of Directed Research (Education 198) credit in exchange for about 10 hours of work per week. There will be opportunities to learn about the research process, present and write about your research, and apply for UROP fellowships and projects.
