Description: 

The Summer Internship Program in Biomedical Research is intended to provide exciting research experiences in our laboratories in Bethesda as well as selected off-campus locations. In this program, students work side by side with some of the leading scientists and researchers in the world. In addition to the laboratory experience, students have an opportunity to attend a summer seminar series where senior NIH investigators discuss the latest developments in biomedical research. Summer internships generally last from eight to ten weeks, beginning in late May and ending in mid- to late August. Some flexibility exists to accommodate student needs. Students are encouraged to identify projects and mentors off of the NIH web site..
   

Benefits: 

$2,000 - $2,200 monthly stipend, depending on education completed prior to starting the internship.
