Description: 

The program offers the opportunity for undergraduate students from around the nation to participate in a summer research program. Interns will work with faculty and research staff in a research-intensive atmosphere on a research topic in chemical, physical, or biological oceanography, marine biology, marine geology, or marine biogeochemistry. Students will develop their project under the guidance of their faculty mentor and will present written and oral reports at the end of the summer. Interns will also attend weekly research seminars, professional development presentations and field trips to nearby coastal marine systems.
   

Benefits: 

Student support includes a $6,400 stipend, free housing, and travel assistance for the 10-week session.
