The University of Minnesota offers a number of Summer Undergraduate Research Programs for students from all disciplines. Minnesota's programs include: Undergraduate Research Programs in the Behavioral and Cognitive Sciences; Bioinformatics Summer Institute; Chemistry Summer Undergraduate Research Program; Electrical and Computer Engineering Undergraduate Research Program; Life Sciences Summer Undergraduate Research Programs (LSSURP); Materials Research Science & Engineering Center Summer Research Program; McNair Summer Research Program; Multicultural Summer Research Opportunities Program; School of Physics and Astronomy Research Experiences for Undergraduates; Geology and Geophysics; Computing and Graphics.
   

Benefits: 

Varies by program. Most provide stipend of $3,500 or more. Some will cover expenses incurred for travel, housing, and food.
